היום השביעי SEVENTH DAY
1. Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
1 השמים והארץ וכל אשר בהם הושלמו.
Ha5amayim wha4are3 wkol 4a5er bahem hu5lemu.

2. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
2 ביום השביעי סיים אלוהים את מה שעשה ושבת מכל מלאכת הבריאה.
Bayom ha5evi7i xiyem 4elohim 4et mah 5e7asah w5avat me kol mla42at.

3. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
3 אלוהים בירך את היום השביעי והקדיש אותו לעצמו כי בו שבת מכל מלאכת הבריאה.
4elohim beyre2 4et hayom ha5evi7i whiqdi5 4oto l7a3mo ki bo 5avat mekol mla42at haberi4ah.

4. These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,
4 אלה קורות השמים והארץ בזמן שנבראו.
כאשר עשה ה' אלוהים את השמים ואת הארץ,
4eleh qorot ha5amayim wha4aree bazeman 5enivre4u.
Ka4a5er 7asah H' 4elohim 4et ha5amayim w4et ha4are3.

5. And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.
5 לא היו בארץ צמחי בר כי ה' אלוהים עדיין לא הוריד גשם על הארץ ולא היה אדם שיעבוד את האדמה.
Lo4 hayu ba4are3 3emacey bar ki H' 4elohim 7adayin lo4 horid ge5em 7al ha4are3 wlo4 hayah 4adam 5eya7avod 4et ha4adamah.

6. But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.
6 אדים שעלו מן הארץ הִשקו את האדמה.
4edim 5e7alu min ha4are3 hi5qu 4et ha4adamah.

7. And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
7 ה' אלוהים יצר את האדם מעפר האדמה. אחרי שנפח בו רוח חיים, היה האדם ליצור חי.
H' 4elohim ya3ar 4et ha4adam me7afar ha4adamah. 4acarey 5enafac bo ruac cayim, hayah ha4adam lye3ur cay.

גן עדן GARDEN OF EDEN
8. And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
8 ה' אלוהים נטע גן בעדן שבמזרח ושם בגן את האדם שיצר.
H' 4elohim na9a7 gan ba7eden 5ebamizrac w5am bagan 4et ha4adam 5eya3ar.

9. And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
9 ה' אלוהים הצמיח מן האדמה כל מיני עצים יפים שפרותיהם טובים למאכל. בתוך הגן צמחו גם עץ החיים ועץ הדעת טוב ורע.
H' 4elohim hi3miac min ha4adamah kol miney 7e3im yafim 5eperoteyhem 9ovim lma4a2al. Bto2 hagan 3amcu gam 7e3 hacayim w7e3 hada7at 9ov wra7.

10. And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.
10 מעדן יצא נהר שהִשקה את הגן ומשם התפצל לארבעה נהרות:
Me7eden ya3a4 nahar 5ehi5qah 4et hagan ume5am hitpa3el l4arba7 haharot.

11. The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;
11 שֵם האחד פִּישׁוֹן, הוא הנהר שהקיף את כל ארץ החֲוִוילָה,
5em ha4ecad pi5on, hu4 hanahar 5ehiqif 4et kol 4are3 hacawilah,

12. And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.
12 שהיו בה זהב טוב, בְּדוֹלַח ואבני שׁוֹהַם.
5ehayu bah zahav 9ov, bdolac w4eveney 5oham.

13. And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.
13 שֵם הנהר השני גִיחוֹן, הוא הנהר שהקיף את כל ארץ כּוּשׁ.
5em hanahar ha5eni gicon, hu4 hanahar 5ehiqif 4et kol 4are3 ku5.

14. And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.
14 שֵם הנהר השלישי חִידֶקֶל, והוא הנהר שזרם ממזרח לאַשׁוּר. הנהר הרביעי היה פְּרָת.
5em hanahar ha5li5i cideqel, whu4 hanahar 5ezaram memizrac l4a5ur. Hanahar harevi7i hayah prat.

15. And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
15 ה' אלוהים שם את אדם בגן עדן כדי שיטפח את הגן וישמור עליו.
H' 4elohim sam 4et 4adam bagan 7eden kdey 5eye9apeac 4et hagan wyi5mor 7alayw.

16. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
16 "מכל עצי הגן מותר לך לאכול", ציווה ה' על אדם,
"mekol 7e3ey hagan mutar le2a le4e2ol", 3iwah H' 7al 4adam,

17. But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
17 "רק מעץ הדעת טוב ורע אל תאכל כי כאשר תאכל ממנו תמות".
Raq me7e3 hada7at 9ov wra7 4al ti42al ki ka4a5er ti42al mimeno tamut".

האישה THE WOMAN
18. And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
18 ה' אלוהים אמר: "לא טוב לאדם להיות לבדו. אעשה לו עֵזֶר שיתאים לו".
H' 4elohim 4amar: " lo4 9ov l4adam lihyot lvado. 4e7aseh lo 7ezer 5eyat4im lo".

19. And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
19 ה' אלוהים יצר מן האדמה את כל חיות הבר ואת כל העופות. הוא הביא אותם אל אדם כדי לראות אילו שמות יתן להם. מאז נקראו בעלי החיים בשמות שנתן להם אדם.
H' 4elohim ya3ar min ha4adamah 4et kol cayot habar w4et kol ha7ofot. Hu4 hevi4 4otam 4el 4afam kdey lir4ot 4eylu 5emot yiten lahem. Me4az niqre4u ba7aley hacayim b5emot 5enatan lahem 4adam.

20. And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.
20 אדם נתן שמות לכל הבהמות, לעופות ולכל חיות הבר, אך לאדם לא נמצא עזר שיתאים לו.
4adam natan 5emot lkol habehemot, l7ofot wlekol cayot habar, 4a2 l4afam lo4 nim3a4 7ezer 5eyat4im lo.

21. And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;    
21 ה' גרם לאדם להירדם. כשישן אדם, לקח ממנו ה' אלוהים את אחת מצלעותיו וסגר את המקום בבשר.
H' garam l4adam lheyradem. K5eya5an 4adam, laqac mimeni H' 4elohim 4et 4avat me3ela7otayw wxagar 4et hamaqom babasar.

22. And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
22 מהצלע שלקח ברא ה' אלוהים את האישה והביא אותה אל אדם.
Meha3ela7 5elaqac bara4 H' 4elohim 4et ha4i5ah whevi4 4otah 4el 4adam.

23. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
23 "הפעם זוהי עצם מעצמותיי ובשר מבשרי!", אמר אדם. "נקרא לה אישה, כי היא נלקחה מהאיש".
"hapa7am zohi 7e3em me7e3emotayi ubasar mebasari!" 4amar 4adam. Niqrah lah 4i5ah, ki hi4 nilqecah meha4i5".

24. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
24 לכן על האיש לעזוב את אביו ואת אמו ולדבוק באשתו, והשניים יהיו לאחד.
La2en 7al ha4i5 la7azov 4et 4avayw w4et 4emo wlidboq b4i5to, wha5etayim yihyu l4ecad.

25. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
25 אדם ואשתו היו עירומים ולא התביישו.
4adam w4i5to hayu 7eyromim wlo4 hitbay5u.
