הקשת בענן THE RAINBOW IN THE SKY
1. And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
1 אלוהים בירך את נח ואת בניו ואמר: "התרבו ומלאו את הארץ. 
4elohim beyre2 4et noac w4et benayw w4amar: "hitrabu umal4u 4et ha4are3.

2. And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.
2 אתם תשלטו על כל חיות הארץ, על כל העופות, על כל החרקים והזוחלים שעל פני האדמה ועל כל דגי הים. הם יפחדו מפניכם. 
4atem ti5le9u 7al kol cayot ha4are3, 7al kol ha7ofot, 7al kol haceraqim whazoclim 5e7al pney ha4adamah w7al dagey hayam. Hem yifcadu mipney2em.

3. Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
3 מותר לכם לאכול מכל בעלי החיים כשם שהרשיתי לכם לאכול מכל הצומח. 
Mutar la2em le4e2ol mekol ba7aley hacayim k5em 5ehar5eyti la2em le4e2ol mekol ha3omeac.

4. But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
4 אך בשר שיש בו דם אסור לכם לאכול. 
4a2 basar 5eye5 bo dam 4axur la2em le4e2ol.

5. And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man.
5 אם תהרגו אדם אעניש אתכם. גם חיה שתהרוג אדם תיענש. אם אדם יהרוג אדם אחר, אעניש אותו על כך.

6. Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.
6 אדם שהורג אדם אחר יהרֵג על ידי בני אדם, כי בראתי את האדם בדמותי. 
4adam 5ehoreg 4adam 4acer yehareg 7al ydey bney 4adam, ki bara4ti 4et ha4adam bdemuti.

7. And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.
7 חֲיו בארץ והתרבו בה".
Cayu ba4are3 whitrabu bah".

8. And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,
8 אלוהים המשיך לדבר אל נח ואל בניו:
4elohim him5i2 ldaber 4el noac w4el benayw:

9. And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;
9 "באשר לי, אכרות ברית אִתכם, עם צאצאיכם 
"B4a5er li, 4e2rot brit 4it2em, 7im 3e4e3a4ey2em

10. And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.
10 ועם כל בעלי החיים שהיו אִתכם – העופות, הבהמות וכל חיות הארץ – כל יוצאי התיבה. 
W7im kol ba7aley hacayim 5ehayu 4it2em - ha7ofot, habehemot wkol cayot ha4are3 - kol yo3e4ey hateyvah.

11. And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
11 אקיים את בריתי אִתכם ולא אשמיד שוב במי המבול את כל היצורים החיים. לא יהיה עוד מבול שיהרוס את כל הארץ". 
4aqayem 4et briti 4it2em wlo4 4a5mid 5uv bmey hamabul 4et kol haye3urim hacayim. Lo4 yihyeh 7od mabul 5eyaharox 4et kol ha4are3".

12. And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
12 אלוהים אמר: "זה האות לברית שביני לביניכם ולבין כל היצורים החיים שאִתכם, לכל הדורות הבאים: 
4elohim 4amar: " zeh ha4ot laberit 5ebeyneyni wlebeyn kol haye3urim hacayim 5e4it2em, lkol hadorot haba4im:

13. I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
13 אשים את קשתי בענן והיא תהיה אות לברית שביני לבין הארץ.
4asim 4et qe5eti ba7anan whi4 tihyeh 4ot lberit 5ebeyni lbeyn ha4are3.

14. And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:
14 כאשר יכסו עננים את הארץ והקשת תיראה בהם,
Ka4a5er y2axu 7ananim 4et ha4are3 whaqe5et teyra4eh bahem,

15. And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
15 אזכור את הברית שכרתי ביני לביניכם ולבין כל היצורים החיים. המים לא יגרמו שוב למבול שישמיד כל חי. 
4ezkor 4et haberit 5ekarati beyni lbeyney2em wlebeyn kol haye3urim hacayim. Hamayim lo4 yigremu 5uv lmabul 5eya5mid kol cay.

16. And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
16 הקשת בענן תזכיר לי את ברית העולם שבין אלוהים לבין כל היצורים החיים שעל הארץ". 
Haqe5et ba7anan tazkir li 4et brit ha7olam 5ebeyn 4elohim lbeyn kol haye3urim hacayim 5e7al ha4are3".

17. And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.
17 אלוהים אמר לנח: "זהו האות לברית שכרתי עם כל היצורים החיים אשר על הארץ".
4elohim 4amar lnoac: " zehu ha4ot laberit 5ekarati 7im kol haye3urim hacayim 4a5er 7al ha4are3".

קללת כנען וברכת שם
CURSE OF CANAAN AND BLESSING OF SHEM
18. And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan.
18 בני נח שיצאו מהתיבה היו שֵׁם, חָם ויֶפֶת. חם היה אביו של כְּנַעַן.

19. These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread. 
19 אלה שלושת הבנים של נח שמהם נולדו כל בני האדם שנפוצו בעולם.

20. And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard: 
20 נח, שהיה עובד אדמה, נטע כרם. 
Noac, 5ehayah 7oved 4adamah, na9a7 kerem.

21. And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.
21 הוא שתה מהיין והשתכר, וכששכב באוהלו נחשף גופו. 
Hu4 5atah mehayayin whi5taker, wk5e5a2av ba4ohelo nec5af gufo.

 22. And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.
22 חם אבי כנען ראה את אביו עירום ויצא מהאוהל לספר על כך לאֶחיו. 
Cam 4avi kna7an ra4ah 4et 4avayw 7eyrom wya3a4 meha4ohel lxaper 7al ka2 l4ecayw.

23. And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.
23 שם ויפת לקחו בגד, שמו אותו על כתפיהם והלכו אחורנית כדי לכסות את אביהם העירום. הם הפנו את פניהם לאחור כדי לא לראות את גופו העירום.

24. And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.
24 כשהתעורר נח משכרותו, נודע לו מה עשה בנו הצעיר. 
K5ehit7orer noac me5i2ruto, noda7 lo mah 7asah beno ha3a7ir.

25. And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.
25 "כנען מקולל", אמר נח, "הוא יהיה עבד לאֶחיו. 
" kna7an mqulal", 4amar noac, "hu4 yihyeh 7eved l4ecayw.

26. And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
26 ברוך אלוהי שֵׁם שכנען יהיה לו לעבד. 
Baru2 4elohay 5em 5ekena7an yihyeh lo l7eved.

27. God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
27 יברך ה' את יפת שיגור באוהלי שֵׁם ושכנען יהיה לו לעבד".
Yvare2 H' 4et yefet 5eyagur ba4oheley 5em w5ekena7an yihyeh lo l7eved".

28. And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years.
28 נח חי אחרי המבול שלוש מאות וחמישים שנה

29. And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years: and he died. 
29 ומת בהיותו בן תשע מאות וחמישים.
