The 36a or 36 letter English Alphabet is a slight variation of the Petersonian English Alphabet. This is a practical system that does not aim to be a spelling reform but rather a useful tool in the shed. The advantages of using this system are many. It can help give a person gain familiarity with the 44 sounds of English. It can also clarify pronunciation over the internet when there may be uncertainty. It's also fun! For me playing with this has been a bridge to understanding ancient Hebrew.
