ZIP CODE

WORD STUDIES

MODERN HEBREW IS CLEVER

Just out of pure curiosity I asked myself "how do you say 'zip code' in Hebrew"? So I discovered it is miqud...MiQuD מיקוד? WHAT IS THE M-Q-D ROOT? It just hit me, hit me like a ton of bricks. CODE in Hebrew is QoD...Mi means from....The o Switches to u to make the common XiXuX noun pattern "the code of where you are from" simple, genius, what clever word formation

It almost reminds me of NiQuD or vowel points
