TORAH

נֹחַ NOAH
1. And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
1 כאשר החלו בני האדם להתרבות ונולדו להם בנות,
Ka4a5er hecelu bney ha4adam lhitrabot wnoldu lahem banot,

2. That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
2 ראו בני האלוהים שבנות האדם יפות ולקחו מהן נשים כרצונם.
Ra4u bney ha4elohim 5ebanot ha4adam yafot wlaqcu mehen na5im kra3onam.

3. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
3 אז אמר ה': "לא לעולם תשכון רוחי באדם משום שהוא גם בשר. הוא יחיה מאה ועשרים שנה".
4az 4amar H': "lo4 l7olam ti5kon ruacey b4adam mi5um 5ehu4 gam basar. Hu4 yihyeh me4ah w7esrim 5anah".

4. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
4 באותם ימים וגם אחרי כן היו בארץ נפילים שנולדו לבנות האדם מבני האלוהים. אלו הם הגיבורים המפורסמים של ימי קדם.
B4otam yamey wgam 4acarey ken hayu ba4are3 nfilim 5enoldu lbanot ha4adam mebeney ha4elohim. 4elu hem hagiburim hamefurxamim 5el yemey qedem.

5. And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
5 ה' ראה שבני האדם עושים מעשים רעים בארץ ושכל תוצאות מחשבותיהם רעות תמיד.
H' ra4ah 5ebeney ha4adam 7osim ma7asim ra7im ba4are3 w5ekol to3a4ot memaca5avoteyhem ra7ot tamid.

6. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
6 הוא הצטער שעשה את האדם והיה עצוב.
Hu4 hi39a7er 5e7asah 4et ha4adam whayah 7a3uv.

7. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
7 "אשמיד את האדם שבראתי", אמר ה', "אותו ואת הבהמות, את החרקים והזוחלים ואת העופות, כי אני מצטער שעשיתי אותם".
"4a5mid 4et ha4adam 5ebara4ti", 4amar H', 4oto w4et habehemot, haceraqim whazoclim w4et ha7ofot, ki 4ani mi39a7er 5e7asiti 4otam".

8. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
8 אבל עם נח עשה ה' חסד.
4aval 7im noac 7asah H' cexed.

9. These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
9 אלה קורות נח: נח היה איש צדיק ותמים בתקופתו. הוא התהלך עם אלוהים.
4eleh qorot noac: noac hayah 4i5 3adiq wtamim btequfato. Hu4 hithale2 7im 4elohim.

10. And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
10 שלושה בנים נולדו לו: שם, חם ויפת.
5lo5ah banim noldu lo: 5em, cam, wyefet.

11. The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
11 בני האדם עשו את הרע בעיני אלוהים, והארץ התמלאה אלימות ורשע.
Beney ha4adam 7asu 4et hara7 b7eyney 4elohim, wha4are3 hitmal4ah 4alimut wre5a7.

12. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
12 אלוהים ראה שהארץ מושחתת ושכל היצורים בארץ עושים מעשים רעים,
4elohim ra4ah 5eha4are3 mu5cetet w5ekol haye3urim ba4are3 7osim ma7asim ra7im.

13. And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
13 ואמר לנח: "החלטתי להשמיד את כל היצורים החיים בארץ כי בגללם התמלאה הארץ אלימות ורשע. אני עומד להשמיד אותם ואת הארץ.

14. Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.
14 עשֵׂה לך תיבה מעץ גוֹפֶר וחַלק אותה לתאים. מְרח אותה בזפת מבפנים ומבחוץ.
7aseh le2a teyvah me7e3 gofer wcalaq 4otah lta4im. Mrac 4otah bzefet mebifnim umebacu3.

15. And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
15 אלה המידות שלפיהן תעשה את התיבה: מאה וארבעים מטר אורך, עשרים ושלושה מטר רוחב ושלושה עשר מטר וחצי גובה.
4eleh hamidot 5elepihen ta7aseh 4et hateyvah: me4ah w4arba7im me9er 4ore2, 7esrim w5elo5ah me9er rocav w5elo5ah 7eser me9er wce3i gavoah.

16. A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.
16 עשה לתיבה גג משופע שיסתיים מלמעלה בשטח ישר שרוחבו עשרים וחמישה סנטימטר. את הפתח עשה בצִדה. בְּנה בתיבה קומות, ראשונה, שנייה ושלישית.
7aseh lateyvah gag m5upa7 5eyixtayem mlema7lah b5etac ya5ar 5erocavo 7esrim wcami5ah xen9ime9er. 4et hapetac 7aseh ba3idah. Bneh bateyvah qumot, ri45onah, 5niyah u5li5it.

17. And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.
17 אני עומד להביא מבול על הארץ כדי להשמיד כל יצור חי מתחת לשמים. כל אשר בארץ ימות,

18. But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.
18 אך אתך אכרות את בריתי. היכנס לתיבה עם בניך, אשתך ונשות בניך.

19. And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.
19 הבא אל התיבה זכר ונקבה מכל בעלי החיים, כדי שישארו אתך בחיים.
Have4 4el hateyvah za2ar wneqevah mekol hacayim, kdey 5eyi5a4aru 4it2a bcayim.

20. Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.
20 מכל סוגי העופות, מכל סוגי הבהמות ומכל סוגי החרקים והזוחלים יבואו אליך שניים כדי שישארו בחיים.
Mekol xugey ha7ofot, mekol xugey habehemot umekol xugey haceraqim whazoclim yavo4u 4eley2a 5nayim kdey 5eya5a4aru bcayim.

21. And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.
21 אסוֹף אל התיבה גם מכל סוגי המאכלים כדי שיהיה לך ולכל האחרים מה לאכול".
4axof 4el hateyvah gam mekol xugey hama4a2alim kdey 5eyihyeh le2a wlekol ha4acarim mah le4e2ol".

22. Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.
22 נח עשה הכל כפי שציווה עליו אלוהים.
